1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using CompliChef ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not accept these terms, you must not use this Service.

2. Service Description

CompliChef is an online software platform (SaaS) designed to help food service and kitchen businesses to:

• Manage food safety compliance
• Monitor temperatures and document HACCP procedures
• Maintain regulatory compliance records
• Manage teams and access roles

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• Ensuring the accuracy of your account information
• Accepting responsibility for all activities under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate an account in case of abuse or non-compliance with these terms.

4. Intellectual Property

All content, software, and materials of CompliChef are the exclusive property of CompliChef or its suppliers. You have only a limited right of use for your personal and professional use.

You may not:

• Copy, modify or create derivative works
• Decompile or reverse engineer
• Sell, rent or lend the Service

5. Data and Privacy

Your data (compliance records, team data, etc.) belongs to you. CompliChef acts as a data processor in accordance with the GDPR.

You consent to the processing of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service for:

• Violating applicable laws or regulations
• Unauthorized access to other accounts or data
• Transmitting malicious content or viruses
• Harassing or annoying other users
• Scraping or extracting data from the Service

7. Customer Support and SLA

CompliChef commits to:

• Providing technical support by email (support@complichef.co.uk)
• Resolving critical issues within 24 hours
• Maintaining 99% service availability (excluding scheduled maintenance)

Maintenance interventions will be notified with 48 hours notice when possible.

8. Pricing and Payment

Prices are displayed in euros. Payments are processed via Stripe and subject to their terms.

• Free Trial: 14 days of complete access free
• Billing: Monthly or annual depending on your choice
• Cancellation: Possible at any time without penalty

You will receive an electronic invoice with each subscription renewal.

9. Limitation of Liability

Except as otherwise provided by law, CompliChef shall not be liable for:

• Any loss of data or profits
• Indirect or consequential damages
• Service interruptions (except in case of gross negligence)

Our liability is limited to the amount you have paid over the past 12 months.

10. Warranties

We warrant that:

• The Service will be provided on an "as is" basis
• We will make our best efforts to maintain availability and security
• We will comply with GDPR and applicable laws

11. Termination

You may terminate your subscription at any time by accessing your account settings. After termination:

• Your access to the Service will be disabled immediately
• Your data will be retained in accordance with the Privacy Policy
• You may request export of your data within 30 days

12. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Significant changes will be notified by email at least 30 days in advance.

13. Regulatory Compliance

CompliChef complies with:

• GDPR: General Data Protection Regulation
• EU Laws: Food safety and culinary compliance
• CNIL Directives: Standards of the National Commission for Data Protection

14. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by French law. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of France.
